Announcement from SiNs-Fids:
I am thinking of starting up a donation fund for a big vet visit all my birds need in the near future because money has been quite difficult this year and our vet fund has become completely empty. In return I am thinking that donations of a certain amount or more get a picture drawn by me of a bird of your choice as I would hate to ask without giving something in return. I have put two examples here of my previous work with pastels on pastel paper.
Details are yet to be worked out but I will keep you all posted. : )

This talented woman does amazing art work of parrots.. we hope that one day we can get a picture done by her!
It’s really hard to see in this picture, but these are black capped conures. Very similar to the Greencheeks. This was in the trees at Jefferson Sq park . There are at least 4 different types of Conures wild in the city.
This is one of my newest fans! Baby! Baby is a Pineapple Green Cheek. Hope that you can live a little thru my adventure Baby,Thanks for following us!
Palm beach State park was an excellent place to see shorebirds up close and in a semi natural environment. We have always seen the signs advising people about the Snowy Plovers(Even in SF) but we have never really seen to many. jThis morning we were blessed to see over 100!
Amazingly beautiful bird. R.I.P.
Popi walked over to a bush to pee and said “OmG,Hey PD,Look at this!” Evidently this hummingbird crashed and impailed himself What are the chances?
This is Ollie. We met him outside of Safeway. Popi was about to go into Safeway and have me watch the bike when this Pirate came up and demanded that we move so his dog and Ollie could use the bench. He said they were homeless and he would just be a min, that Safeway would not allow Ollie inside the store. So we told him that we would hang out with Ollie while he shopped. Ollie was amazing,so gentle and so kind. After the Pirate returned he told us that ollie had been in a cage for 16 years, then after meeting the pirate has been cagefree for the last 4 years. We love you Ollie.
This Gull bit of more bagel then he could chew. I was gonna go give the hind leg maneuver but Popi told me to just wait. Sure enough after a while these other Gulls saw the bagel and chased this poor guy and practically drowned him to get the bagel, thus saving his life .What a crazy show.
Georges birds in Monterey. This was the first time we had seen a hawk headed parrot live. Very cool
The only bird who would wear the pancho was Rudy! Pita gave me a nasty bite for trying LOL OUCH
This pancho was supposed to be for Pepita for his 1 year hatch party. He did not want to wear it, but senor Ruby looks great in it! Ole!
