Ian and Box dog bikes came thru when it came to fixing the Brooks saddle. Popi tried for several hours to install the new bolt on the saddle and found it almost impossible.
While at box dog we also got a new chain and cassette. We have been running on a chain that was to short for the last 600 hundred miles or so cause we could not afford to get a new chain. This ment that we have not been able to shift into the large chainwheel on the bike, thus only really having lower gears. This in turn burned out our middle chainring. So we had to get a new middle chain ring as well.
We really want to thank Ian for the love and support and the whole Box dog crew.
We got all this work done on the donations that you have provided thank you all for the love and support!

Hanging in Clarion ally with the “Whip of the week”
Gilroy ca. Garlic capitol of the world!
The smell of garlic was almost overwhelming while we rode thru fields and fields of it!
The temps were in the 80’s with lots of sun
Finally we reached the top of Hecker pass. It’s all down hill from here to Gilroy Ca.
This is Paul Aschenbrenner. He is a self described “Trail angel” he sets up this little Bicycle power station out of his van on the side of the road just out side of Castroville. He told us that he is there every Tuesday and Thursday.
He gives you 2 fresh baked cookies(Nom Nom) and a power bar and asks you sign his little diary of riders.
It was really nice of him to be out there and makes you you feel loved and supported on the road when you come across some one or something like this.
Thank you Paul if you end up seeing this, Hope to see you again on one of our many trips up and down the wonderful California coast!
“Nice Whip of the week” This week’s bike is a major beauty! All wooden made of ‘Dragon”wood
